Abstract
Congenital defects are some of the most common reasons of neonatal morbidity and in some cases those may have lethal prognosis. Progress in the diagnostics of congenital defects enables most cases to be diagnosed prenatally. Because of that reason, the number of newborn with lethal defect diagnosed prenatally increases. Diagnosis of lethal defect in child leaves parents and physicians in dire straights. The proposal of recommendation in the management of neonates with lethal defect diagnosed prenatally is presented in this article. Moreover, the concerns regarding futile medical therapy should be raised in this group of patients.
