Abstract
Primary immunodeficiency disorders are rare heterogeneous group of diseases characterised by recurrent infections of respiratory tract and other organs, increased susceptibility to autoimmune and neoplastic disorders. In recent years, genetic background of numerous primary immunodeficiencies was discovered which enables making diagnosis and incorporating treatment. Early made diagnosis and proper treatment not only lessens the risk of severe infections but also lets children lead normal life. It is of great importance especially in severe combined immunodeficiencies. Humoral deficiencies are the most frequent primary immunodeficiencies, however the most severe course of disease is observed in combined T and B-cell immunodeficiencies. Primary immunodeficiency disorders occur rarely but we should always keep them in mind.
