Abstract
Activation of TLRs results in induction of innate immunity mechanisms as well in development of antigen-specific adaptive immune response, thus bridging innate and adaptive immunity. Clarifying the structure, signaling and biological functions of TLRs allows us to understand their role in pathogenesis of inflammatory, auto-immune and allergic diseases.
