Abstract
The recognition of the inflammatory bowel disease in a small child, although more frequent now is still rare. In the population of adolescence age, particularly among the youngest children, the recognition of ulcerative colitis might be connected with diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties, as described in the case of the 2-year-old boy.
