Abstract
The authors present a boy with Down syndrome who was diagnosed with tetany at the age of 14 years. We pay attention to clinical symptoms suggesting side effects of psychiatric treatment as an element affecting tetany diagnostics. We analyze cases of tetany, present diagnostic problems and effects of treatment.
