Abstract
⺠Intelligence on external R&D is vital for Open Innovation. ⺠We distinguish five stages in “Tech Mining” external R&D information. ⺠We consider six forms of such R&D information.⺠We present a brief Tech Mining success story on advanced ceramics.⺠Stage 5, Literature Based Discovery, warrants special consideration.
