Abstract
This study wants to explain that the present crisis of civilisation of our westernized societies is the consequence of a loss of confidence in the modernity and in the progress inherited from the Enlightenment that haven't meet the expectations implicit, i.e. happiness and welfare. One of the solutions to response to this crisis of civilisation, depicted by the sociologist Jean-Paul Villaime as an ultramodernity (movement with uncertainty) is to welcome the religious ideas in public space and in the deliberation process, though in the respect of the separation of state and religion -Â this is actually the position of the German philosopher Jürgen Habermas. We must wonder also about the situation of Islam in France for this religion must do its own aggiornamento in order to adapt harmoniously to its host society, which means that Muslims have to interpret their sacred text, the Quran, not to have it being in opposition with this time of ultramodernity. We'll then observe who are the Muslims clerics investigated in this process which is the basis for a living-together that regards the whole of the Muslim community in this country.
