Abstract
► We combined SAM-based cell transfer and hydrogel photopatterning techniques. ► We identified two SAM desorption mechanisms: photoinduced and electrically triggered. ► Cell transfer was efficient and preserved cell viability and monolayer features. ► Vascular-like constructs lined with an endothelial cell monolayer were generated. ► Double-layered constructs were photopatterned for mimicking arterioles organization.
