Abstract
⺠Cell heterogeneity is critical for cellular function and fate. ⺠Total analysis of many single cells is necessary for studying cell heterogeneity. ⺠Total single cell analysis measures a cell from its live state to its lysates. ⺠Microfluidic technology enables high throughput total single cell analysis. ⺠Challenges remain, e.g. highly sensitive detection of multiple cell components.
