Abstract
- INST-MFA is based on isotopically non-stationary tracer experiments.
- It currently represents the most advanced form of metabolic flux analysis.
- INST-MFA is superior to classical 13C-MFA with respect to information gain.
- It broadens the range of systems that can be quantitatively investigated in vivo.
- Because of complexity and experimental effort it is not a routine tool for MFA.
