Abstract
⺠Glycosylation affects cellulase activity in plant cell wall deconstruction. ⺠Glycosylation pathways can be manipulated for probing glycan function. ⺠Better characterization of glycosylation-trimming enzymes is needed. ⺠Glycosylation may play additional functional roles beyond proteolysis protection. ⺠Computational, genomic, and biophysical tools are needed to probe glycosylation.
