Abstract
⺠N2O emissions can contribute significantly to the operational CO2 footprint of a BNR plant. ⺠NH2OH and NO2â are key precursors for N2O production. ⺠Imperfect nitritation is main source of N2O. ⺠Both physicochemical as bio-augmentative mitigation strategies need to be explored.
