Abstract
⺠Bacteria therapy of cancer represents a new paradigm. Taking advantage, of the natural propensity of Salmonella typhimurium to target cancer, the introduction of specific auxotrophic mutations gives rise to substrains of S. typhimurium that can seek out and destroy tumors and metastasis without harm to the host. This paper reviews these exciting new developments and their potential for clinical application.
