Abstract
⺠Enzymatic two-step synthesis from cyclohexanol to É-caprolactone established. ⺠Polyol dehydrogenase and Baeyer-Villiger monooxygenase functionally expressed in E. coli and isolated enzymes used for É-caprolactone synthesis. ⺠Self sufficient cofactor regeneration achieved by internal recycling. ⺠Both enzymes successfully immobilized. ⺠Highly pure É-caprolactone obtained by simple isolation.
