Abstract
⺠We assess the impact of punctuality on productivity of European railway companies. ⺠We apply DEA and Malmquist indices to a panel of seven European railway systems. ⺠The relationship between punctuality and productivity is nonnegative. ⺠Railroad reliability may be improved without harming productivity.
