Abstract
- Acid impregnation then steam explosion removes xylan in corn straw efficiently.
- A high xylose recovery and high SEG were simultaneously obtained.
- Corn straw hydrolysate without detoxification was used for xylitol production.
- The inhibition of hydrolysate can be overcome by increasing the inoculum size.
