Abstract

- Multienzyme complex (MEC) from C. alkalithermophilus is first found in this work.
- The MEC showed alkali-tolerant and active at alkaline pH range at high temperature.
- The MEC was predominating in xylanase and CMCase activities.
- The MEC showed effective hydrolysis of insoluble polysaccharides.
- The MEC was more alkaline active and stable than other multienzyme complexes.
