- Biotransformation of ribavirin was performed by E. coli ATCC 12407, reaching yields of 86%.
- This mesophile microorganism was successfully stabilized in agarose and polyacrylamide.
- Biocatalyst immobilized in agarose could be reused during 270Â h without activity loss.
