Abstract
												- A novel antioxidant peptide (BHP) was isolated from bovine hair hydrolysates.
- BHP exhibited the remarkable antioxidant activity to scavenge free radicals.
- BHP could inhibit the erythrocyte hemolysis and lipid peroxidation effectively.
- BHP possessed the ability to inhibit the oxidative damage of DNA and PC12 cells.
