Abstract
⺠We examine exporter uptake of new port facilities in Auckland, New Zealand. ⺠Determinants of uptake are product and firm-related, rather than location specific. ⺠Firms use the new port in conjunction with existing port infrastructure. ⺠Rapid uptake of the new facilities is not associated with subsequent export growth.
