Abstract
► Activated sludge bioflocculation assessment through SVI, ESS and image analysis. ► A high RLR led to increased erosion, a low RLR to fragmented sludge. ► EPS was monitored and linked to the bioflocculation conditions of the sludge. ► Image analysis shows the highest potential for assessing bioflocculation conditions.
