Abstract
⺠Maximum EC of methanol of 1320 g mâ3 hâ1 was obtained. ⺠Ech42 was produced with a chitinase enzymatic activity of 125 U Lâ1. ⺠The majority (99%) of Ech42 produced was excreted to the culture medium. ⺠P. pastoris is a robust microorganism to produce Ech42 and to biodegrade methanol. ⺠The linking of Ech42 to methanol biofiltration could be economically feasible.
