Abstract
► Virgibacillus halodenitrificans SK1-3-7 was isolated from fish sauce fermentation. ► V. halodenitrificans SK1-3-7 produced novel fibrinolytic enzymes. ► The enzymes hydrolyzed fibrin to a greater extent than did plasmin. ► The enzymes were resistant to pepsin and trypsin digestion.
