Abstract
⺠New soluble Callera Trans L lipase successfully assayed for FAMEs production. ⺠Cost-effective biodiesel synthesis using crude oils and a non-immobilized lipase. ⺠Synthesis of FAMEs more efficient in the presence of 3-5% water. ⺠An initial hydrolysis releases FFAs, which are further esterified to FAMEs. ⺠System allowing degumming plus transesterification in one-pot-reaction.
