Abstract
⺠Two thermostable and alkali-stable lichenases EG1 and EG2 from the newly isolated Bacillus licheniformis UEB CF were purified. ⺠They differed from each other in terms of molecular weight and some physicochemical characteristics. ⺠The N-terminal sequences of EG1 and EG2 showed no similarity to sequences of known microbial lichenases. ⺠Both enzymes showed excellent stability and compatibility with a range of commercial solid detergents. ⺠First report about application of lichenases in detergent as additive.
