Abstract
⺠Principally different methods of whole-cell immobilization were compared. ⺠By flocculation with chitosan more than 60% activity was obtained at a very high cell loading of 3.2 g/g. ⺠More than 90% activity remained during eight repeated 1-h batches. ⺠Immobilized preparation useful in asymmetric synthesis of (S)-4-cyano-α-methylbenzylamine in repeated batches.
