Purification, characterization and gene cloning of two forms of a thermostable endo-xylanase from Streptomyces sp. SWU10

► The new strain of Streptomyces sp. isolated from rice straw produced two forms of an endo-1,4-β-xylanase which exhibit high pH and thermal stabilities. ► They are classified as GH family 10 based on the amino acid sequence similarities. ► These two forms of a xylanase may have potential application in biofuel, food, textile industries and waste treatment.
