Abstract
► For evaluating the catalysis ability of the β-glucosidase under high salinity condition, the thermodynamic parameters were investigated at different salinities. ► The β-glucosidase activity was enhanced under high salinity condition. ► The thermostability of the β-glucosidase was remarkably enhanced under high salinity condition. ► The β-glucosidase from a marine Aspergillus niger was valuable for hydrolyzing cellulose under high salinity condition.
