Abstract
⺠We isolate and identify a high laccase-producing strain, Coltricia perennis. ⺠The purified laccase (Cplac) from C. perennis shows a higher activity than any other reported laccase. ⺠High stability and catalytic efficiency of Cplac suggest its suitability for industrial applications. ⺠Cplac detoxifies phenolic compounds in rice straw more efficiently than Novozym 51003.
