Abstract
⺠This is the first detailed study of DPP-III from plants. ⺠Plant DPP-III preferably cleaves Arg-Arg-4mβNA and is a cysteine/metallo protease. ⺠It is a heterodimer with approximate molecular weight of 60 kDa. ⺠Mobilization of seed storage proteins might be the function of DPP-III in plants. ⺠Involvement of this enzyme in plant development needs to be studied further.
