Abstract
⺠This is the first report on lipase immobilization on nanostructured tin dioxide. ⺠The physically adsorbed on nano-SnO2 lipase from Candida rugosa showed high specific activity. ⺠The tin dioxide preserved up to 45% of initial enzyme activity after 1-h incubation at pH 10.0. ⺠Upon heating for 1 h at 55 °C, nano-SnO2-CRL retained 77% active. ⺠The novel biocatalyst was applied in the synthesis of banana flavor and 88.2% yield of the ester was obtained for 2 h.
