Abstract
► This is the first report on lipase immobilization on nanostructured tin dioxide. ► The physically adsorbed on nano-SnO2 lipase from Candida rugosa showed high specific activity. ► The tin dioxide preserved up to 45% of initial enzyme activity after 1-h incubation at pH 10.0. ► Upon heating for 1 h at 55 °C, nano-SnO2-CRL retained 77% active. ► The novel biocatalyst was applied in the synthesis of banana flavor and 88.2% yield of the ester was obtained for 2 h.
