Abstract
ⶠThe paper summarizes available experimental data on Bacillus and Geobacillus lipases. ⶠBacillus lipases are a diverse family of enzymes with an unexplored potential for industrial use. ⶠThey are tolerant to extreme temperatures and pH, surfactants and organic solvents. ⶠBacillus lipases differ in their selectivity, and few show positional specificity. ⶠImmobilization allows further tuning of the properties of the biocatalysts.
