Abstract
In this work, ultrasound was imposed on Li metal anode to investigate its effects on lithium battery characteristics at high-rate charging process. It was found that under sonicated condition there was higher exchange current density (I0) of Li metal, that could effectively decrease the cathodic overpotential of lithium electrode. Meanwhile, lower interfacial impedance of Li anode during high-rate charging process was revealed, if ultrasound imposed. Consequentially, with the depolarization effect of ultrasound on Li anode at high-rate charging process, higher charge and discharge capacity of lithium cell was obtained.
