Abstract
The electrochemical action of a multi-target antibody with morphine and its analogs, 6-monoacetylmorphine and morphine-3-glucuronide, which are the main metabolites of heroin abusers, were studied on glass carbon electrode in PBS solution. There was no new redox peaks appear and no change of redox potentials with the addition of morphine-3-site polyclonal antibody to morphine, 6-monoacetylmorphine and morphine-3-glucuronide solution. The binding constants for the macromolecules of Ab-morphine, Ab-6-monoacetylmorphine and Ab-morphine-3-glucuronide have been calculated. Moreover, the association of morphine with its antibodies bound to the electrode surfaces was characterized by cyclic voltammetry as a function of immobilization immunochemistry. Relatively differences of electrochemical behavior of unmodified and antibody modified electrode surfaces were also investigated.
