Abstract
⺠Cycle-by-cycle variation of combustion parameters of methanol and gasoline fueled HCCI engine. ⺠Successful HCCI combustion obtained at λ (3.5-6) for methanol and λ (2.8-3.8) for gasoline. ⺠Maximum IMEP is limited to 3.1 bar. The COVIMEP is lower for richer mixture. COV of Pmax is lower (<2%). ⺠Crank angle location of ROHRmax is concentrated close to the mean value of CAD with limited spread. ⺠CA90 is more scattered compared to 10% and 50% MBF. CA50 seems to be best feedback alternative to control HCCI combustion.
