Abstract
⺠Six microalgal strains were isolated from natural habitats in Thailand for biomass and lipid production. ⺠Chlorococcum humicola was found the best in lipid production (0.033 g/l/d). ⺠The 3NBBM medium was considered the optimal culture medium for C. humicola. ⺠Lipids from C. humicola were similar to palm oil and acceptable for biodiesel production.
