Abstract
⺠A novel evolutionary algorithm to reconstruct wind speed from synoptic pressure patterns is presented. ⺠The algorithm works by constructing a clustering of synoptic situations. ⺠A measure of local wind is minimized. ⺠We reconstruct the local wind from a given synoptic situation in six measuring towers in Spain.
