► Most of the participants filling in the SSQ (in total 88%) reported sickness symptoms. ► Previously experienced discomfort influences presence (i.e., perceived realism) negatively. ► The experience of 3DTV is influenced by age and previous experience with 3D content. ► The feeling of sickness is influenced by gender. ► Feeling of presence is influenced by the viewing set up (standing or sitting in front of the screen).
