Abstract
⺠Event-driven architectures (EDA) can be applied on decision support systems. ⺠A hierarchy of event types reflects the decision process that is a sequence of event processing steps. ⺠With Complex Event Processing (CEP) continuous streams of sensor data can be processed in real-time. ⺠We present a distributed reference architecture defining different event processing agents. ⺠A case study of a road traffic management system in Bilbao shows the usefulness of the approach.
