Abstract
⺠Loss risk during the course of a construction project may be described in terms of loss frequency and loss severity. ⺠This study focused on improving the methodology used to evaluate loss risk. ⺠This research established a loss risk prediction model using the evolutionary support vector machine inference model (ESIM) and estimated the insurance deductible utilizing prediction results. ⺠An optimal deductible decision-making model that is valid for use in actual construction projects was further established in this research.
