Abstract
We introduce an efficient adaptive cloth simulation method which is based on a novel reversible 3-refinement scheme for arbitrary triangle meshes. (a) A garment model with folds and wrinkles during the finite element simulation. (b) The color encoded mean curvature, which is used as refinement criterion, is shown on the surface of the model. On the right we see the corresponding adaptive triangulation which is generated by our novel bidirectional 3-refinement scheme. (a) Female avatar with dress. (b) Curvature and triangulation.358
