Abstract
⺠It provides a simple and automatic method for accurately extracting wrinkle curves based on the image because a series of measures are taken to enhance the quality of the image before extraction. We also adopt an improved Canny edge detector to extract the wrinkle curves of the image. ⺠It can simulate the natural wrinkle shapes because the wrinkle Cross-section Shape Control Function, the Depth Attenuation Function, and the Width Attenuation Function can easily express and modulate the real and natural shapes of various wrinkles by defining different intuitive parameters. Users can also easily create various wrinkles as they desire. ⺠It provides an efficient way to automatically determine the accurate location and direction of wrinkles because the feature alignment step is applied before implementing the projection operation. ⺠The adaptive subdivision is applied in the predefined influence region in our system to adjust the resolution around the wrinkle mesh, which provides an excellent way to solve the speed bottleneck and achieve better wrinkles.
