Abstract
⺠A fast algorithm based on fixed-point DSPs is proposed for YCbCr to HSV conversion. ⺠Floating-point multiplications are replaced with fixed-point shifts, 16-bit fixed-point multiplications, and additions. ⺠A table occupying 225 bytes is established to compensate for rounding error. ⺠A table occupying 256 bytes is established to convert floating-point multiplication into 16-bit fixed-point multiplication. ⺠The Y component is eliminated from the calculation to reduce the computational complexity.
