Abstract
Compliance regulations that place liability for security breaches on company directors have added weight to computer security officers' requests for attention, respect and money. Infosecurity Today invited a sample group drawn from different sides of the IT security industry - suppliers, consultants, and an analyst - to take the measure of the compliance hype. They also nailed some of the issues around the remote worker threat, patch management, and selling security to the board.
