Abstract
⺠This is the first study of this type. ⺠Using empirical data, we identify a positive association between SPI and business success in software SMEs. ⺠This evidence supports the case for adopting a positive SPI disposition in software SMEs. ⺠The study presents a robust new approach to examining business success in software companies.
