Abstract
► The modal dispersion induced MPI was compensated by adaptive equalizer with DFE. ► We observed the MPI caused by axial gaps in the GI-MMF transmission line. ► We achieved a 20 km GI-MMF transmission even if two 5 μm axial gaps were introduced.
