Abstract
This article in two parts tentatively suggests key ideas for an overall biometrics strategy that could better resist identity fraud. A recent decision of the Dutch government is mentioned aiming at an identity fraud resistant use of biometric passports. Instead of relying on the fingerprint on the identity document, other fingerprints stored in a separate database will be used when checking someone's identity with fingerprint biometrics.
