Abstract
⺠A parametric GIS model was developed for automated recognition of urban morphology. ⺠To confront urban complexity the model applies context-based recognition using GIS. ⺠Morphological features essential for 3D urban climate modelling were extracted. ⺠Shadow recognition is used to extract buildings height for 3D urban morphology. ⺠Model accuracy was evaluated using statistical tests with satisfying results.
