Abstract
⺠We propose a general method for automatic diagnostic assessment of the L2 pronunciation. ⺠The method exploits psychoacoustic knowledge; two different auditory models used. ⺠We measure the Euclidean geometry similarity between L1 auditory domain and L2 acoustic domain. ⺠The system is applied to individual non-native speakers from various language backgrounds. ⺠Results are in accordance with theoretical linguistic findings.
