Abstract
⺠We established an agent-based model of emission trading market. ⺠We examine the impact of transaction costs on the performance of Jiangsu SO2 emission trading market. ⺠Increasing transaction costs have a negligible effect on the market price. ⺠Increasing transaction costs can block a small amount of trading as well as decrease total emission trading amount and market efficiency.
